Did you know the European Union has banned over 1,100+ chemicals from cosmetics sold in Europe? The US has banned only NINE, and allows all 1,100 chemicals banned from the E.U. to be used in our personal care products! That is scary, especially when we use so many of these products on our children.
TruKid is an All Natural Body Care company for kids. Created by Jennifer Adams Bunker, a busy CEO and mother of six, Jennifer realized that she needed a natural, chemical free way to protect her children while they were playing sports and doing other outdoor activities in the sunshine, thus, TruKid was born!
Trukid carries a variety of children’s products from sunscreen, to a hair care line, and even body wash! All Trukid products are free of BPA and Phthalate. We were lucky enough to be able to review Dancing Detangler, Sunny Days SPF 30 sunscreen and the Sunny Days SPF 30 Face Stick. I was very impressed with all 3 products!
The sunscreen had a wonderful light, natural smelling, citrus scent and despite the excellent coverage, did not leave a greasy feeling on my children’s skin. I decided to test the detangler by not using conditioner on Makenna’s hair in a bath, and instead, combing through her curls with the solo help of the detangling spray. It worked wonderfully, was not sticky, and left another light scent that smelled natural yet yummy. My favorite product of the three was the sunscreen face stick! On more than one occasion my girls have gotten sunscreen in their eyes and we have had to deal with the burn and owwie from that. With Trukid’s Sunny Days face stick the kids could apply it themselves and got the even protection and coverage, without any chance of getting it into their eyes or missing a spot.
We were very happy with all of the TruKid products we were able to try and I just know as a mother, any of you would be too!

I seriously just want those sunscreen sticks. It is SO hard to get sunscreen on a baby! She always ends up with a sunscreen stain somewhere on her clothes and it's just so ugly! It's such a great idea, but I always forget to buy sticks.
