Yoplait Greek Yogurt Review & Giveaway! (9/21)

Back in December 2008 I was overweight and unhappy. I was tired of feeling self conscious and fat, so I decided to make a change. I worked out at home 5x per week, counted calories and was very hard on myself. No cheat days, no slip-ups, no giving in. That all paid off because just five short months later, I had reached my goal and lost 55lbs! Now it’s all about maintenance and being happy with myself. I currently have decided to lose another 15-20lbs to be at my ultimate goal! I have recently started the p90x program to help me with that and continue to look for new healthy food choices for myself, and my family.

I have been hearing a lot of wonderful things about Greek yogurt for a long time now, but have never tried it. When I heard that Yoplait had come out with a Greek yogurt, I knew, as a regular Yoplait customer, I finally had to try this and find out for myself what all the buzz was about!

Yoplait Greek Yogurt has a unique thick and creamy texture combined with the great taste from a brand you know and trust. In four delicious flavors: Strawberry, Blueberry, Honey Vanilla, and Plain there is a variety for everyone, whether you’re eating it from the package, or using it in a recipe! My favorite feature is that each cup is packed with two times the protein (12 grams) of the leading yogurt, which means you stay full longer and give your muscles that extra protein they so desperately need!

As a great source of calcium, zero grams of fat and saturated fat, and the only Greek Yogurt with vitamins A and D in every cup, Yoplait Greek yogurt is the perfect healthy choice that you can trust for your entire family.

We received the Honey Vanilla and Plain varieties to review. I ate the Honey Vanilla alone and it was good! It was much thicker than regular yogurt and more filling too! I think it would be even better with some fresh fruit added to it, or even some granola/cereal for the kiddos.

For the plain variety, hubs (the true chef in our home) decided to use it in a Roasted Pacilla chili spread for our California Burgers instead of mayo. He combined a roasted chili, 1 container of Yoplait Plain Greek Yogurt, garlic, lime juice, salt and pepper. It was creamy, delicious, and amazing!!

We actually bought more of this yogurt ourselves and have since used it in tuna as a mayo substitute and for a delicious filling smoothie, that was SO much like a milkshake. YUM!
