As a young kid in elementary school, I distinctly remember opening my lunchbox to find a sweet handwritten note from my mom telling me she missed me, or she hoped I was having a good day. It made me smile, and feel good for the rest of the day. Since Makenna is now in First Grade, she stays at school all day to eat lunch, and I wanted to pass on the note in the lunchbox tradition to my kids. If you child is an average reader, I would recommend a 2nd-3rd grade+ child, or an adult around willing to help read the beautiful message and fun fact! I loved the cards because it was not only easy to tuck right into her lunchbox, but it was colorful and cute too!
