We are a very musical family! We all love everything from reggae to rap, and all of the genres in between! Although I can not play any instruments, my husband can play the piano, guitar, bass, drums, and more. Hubs’ grandmother was a piano instructor for over 60 years and classically trained. My children all love music and have been dancing around to all types of music since 4-5 months old. We have already bought Kenna, our 6 yr old, a guitar to start playing with and eventually, teach her how to play. When I was introduced to The Juno CompanyI knew that I would love to review it, and my children would too!

The Juno Company was developed by a couple who was expecting their first child and soon realized products that were engaging, musical, and fun were few and far between. They decided to create fun, beautiful, and thoughtful music for children. After collaborating with top researchers, artists, and musicians, a list of award winning products, including musical CDs, DVDs, and books, all featuring a lovable cast of characters, was born!

Real, original music makes the The Juno Company unique and different! Each piece of original music featured on all of the Juno products is written by acclaimed composer Dr. Belinda Takahashi, PhD. Also, while most companies use simple, synthesized music, all Juno music is performed by live, orchestral musicians. This factor alone will help children develop an appreciation for great music from an early age!

The Juno Company offers two wonderful sets of products. Juno Baby, recommended for 12 months+, not only has wonderful, fun, music for little ones to enjoy, but Juno and her friends address important, common, issues, such as overcoming childhood fears, the importance of friendship, and problem solving skills. The amazing Juno Baby series is not only Emmy award winning, but has won more awards than any other children’s media product on the market since it’s launch! That’s amazing! The other excellent set of products offered by The Juno Company is Juno Jr., recommended for preschool aged children, takes our older kiddos on a fun adventure with six year old Juno, and her 2 year old brother Rai Rai. When they are transported to the musical world of Harmonia Springs, Juno’s real life pets become her puppet friends, and every Juno Jr. story is an amazing, fun, musical adventure.

We received a Juno Jr. DVD, CD, and a wonderful Indie (one of the Juno characters) plush toy to review. I put on the DVD for Maddie, our 4yr old, and Bub, our 2yr old, while my oldest was at school and both sat mesmerized for 50 minutes, in love with Juno and her friends. Well, except when they decided to get up and dance to the music that is! They did that a LOT! Since watching the Juno Jr. DVD that first time, Maddie has asked to watch it almost every afternoon. I also have to honestly add that we have previously purchased other musical DVDs from other companies, which none of my children were into, let alone the way they became attached to Juno.

When I told Maddie we had a Juno CD to listen to in the car, she insisted we hear it each and every afternoon on our drive to pick up Kenna from school. She is starting to learn the words, and both her and Bub dance along happily. At first, I was unsure which of my kiddos would get the Indie plush, but after seeing Maddie’s reaction to Juno, it’s obviously meant for her!
