Congrats Comment #60 – The Sunshyn
What would a master bedroom/bathroom makeover event be without replacing our old, worn out towels with luxurious plushy new ones? The Turkish Towel Company didn’t leave us hanging out to dry, and their towels sure didn’t either!
Legend has it that a 15th century Turkish craftsman decided to try weaving towels the same way he wove rugs to see if it would create a higher quality towel. Prior to this all towels were flat woven and had no loops. This craftsman’s excellent idea was a success and a better towel that contained loops and absorbed water faster was born! As the towel weaving business grew in Turkey, the descendants of this village became some of the best towel producers in the world. As time past, these descendants started a company, known today as The Turkish Towel Company.
Each and every Turkish towel is inspected three times: after weaving, after dying, and after stitching, to ensure that every towel is the perfect towel. Each towel is double stitched to avoid fraying and careful attention is paid for added stability.
The Turkish Towel Company doesn’t just produce standard white towels. They have a variety of types of towels, available in a wide array of sizes and colors, to coordinate with your decor and your needs. Turkish Towel also offers bath mats, gorgeous robes, pool towels, and these wonderful black makeup towels, pictured above, to never allow the stains of foundation, mascara and more to trash your pristine white towels.
We were sent two Zenith oversized bath towels to review, in their Espresso color. First I must say the color was just as pictured and correlated perfectly with my color scheme! The first time I felt my Turkish Towels, I could tell they were of a different, higher end quality than my towels of the past. They just felt more durable, sturdy, and well made. I washed them, and hung them on our towel rings to use. They did wonderfully in the washer and dryer!
When I used my towel for the first time I could actually tell that it absorbed water better and I dried off faster. This was especially amazing since it was a chilly Vegas winter week and I take early morning showers. I am highly impressed and fully agree that although Turkish Towels might cost a bit more in the beginning, it will certainly pay off when they outlast all of the other inferior towels in your linen closet!
