R. Müller Wine Review

by Marcie on April 11, 2011

Springtime is in the air and an upcoming Easter and/or Passover celebration is on the way for most of us. If you’re looking for a wonderful, crisp wine to go with your upcoming family dinner, or even to enjoy on a spring evening outdoors, you must try R. Müller’s 2009 Riesling!

Coming to us from the Landwein Reign in Germany this Rabbit Riesling aka The Bunny Wine (even more perfect for this time of year right?) brings you a little more body and elevation than most Rieslings. Hints of peaches and pears are present and it finishes with a nice crispness. The R. Müller Riesling pairs wonderfully with firm cheeses, pastas with cream sauce, lighter seafood dishes, and Asian cuisine!

We generously received two 3L Octavin’s as shown above. Yes, that is a LOT of wine! I passed one on to my sister, who will be bringing it to her inlaws house for Easter. The other lives on my house, where we sampled it for review, and will be finished as desired. Given the amazing taste, and how well it pairs with seafood, this wine won’t last much longer around this house.

Remember to look for the R. Müller 2009 Riesling while planning your upcoming holiday meal, dinner party, family get together or just during your next shopping trip. Also, check out the website to learn more about the other great wines available through Octavin Home Wine Bar! Cheers!
