The Miracle Ball Method For Pregnancy by Elaine Petrone, and published by Workman Publishing is a low impact, non invasive series of “unexercises” that relax muscles and allow the body to realign and reshape as it adjusts to accommodate a growing belly. By simply resting on the two small balls, included with the book, and breathing deeply for as little as five minutes each day, women will feel the familiar symptoms of pregnancy disappear as their bodies become more relaxed and aligned. And the added bonus: The method helps women regain a flat belly after birth.

Elaine Petrone, a former dancer who created the original million copy bestseller Miracle Ball Method to heal herself after suffering a career-ending injury. Using the same easy to follow style of instructions, this new pregnancy version includes positions for problem areas – Neck on the Ball, the Rib Cage Side Stretch – and whole body moves like Standing Body Hang Over. There are variations to use in later months when it’s no longer advised to lie flat on your back. In addition, the breathing exercises help relieve anxiety, fatigue, and are excellent preparation for labor. After having three children in less than six years, I can honestly say I know all too well the reasons for needing something like The Miracle Ball Method For Pregnancy. I wish I would have known about it while I was expecting, but now that I do, I can pass on it’s value to all of you, along with my personal friends and family, so that you can experience the relief that I unfortunately could not.

I decided to try some of the muscle tension relief exercises anyway and I have to say, they make it look easy in the video. If you don’t get the hang of it right away, don’t worry, just keep trying and you’ll get the hang of it soon enough. I plan to test out some positions for migraine headaches, which I get monthly right before my visitor. I will keep you all posted on the outcome!
