Has it ever happened to you? Walking around the house, perhaps about to fold a load of laundry, make a bed, or check on the kids and BAM, OUCH, you step on a Lego that was buried in the carpet just waiting to attack! I will admit it is difficult to keep all of those pesky Legos together and organized. A few always manage to get lost, escape, and end up in our vacuum, on the bottom of our feet, or just plain lost and that just stinks. Now there’s an organizing solution for your Legos that is easy enough for kids and pretty fun too!
Box4Blox was invented by Peter and Moira Botherway in a sort of lightbulb moment after Moira spent over an hour sorting different Lego pieces into plastic containers only to have her pre-schooler arrive home and tip them all over the floor. Something had to change and the Box4Blox was born! Although Peter and Moira are from Auckland, near New Zealand, Box4Blox is manufactured in a plastic factory located in the greater Los Angeles area and produced from the same material that Legos are made from. A Box4Blox can hold 1500-1800 Legos of different sizes and stands about 10 1/4 inches when all 4 levels are stacked making one large cube.
While my girls aren’t big Lego fans, Bub is and since he’s only 3, we don’t own the smaller Legos yet. I will say I grew up with my mother having close friends who all seemed to have sons, all of which adored Legos. I would always step on them when I went to play at their houses and although I was a child, I remember it was annoying. I’m sure those mothers would have loved a Box4Blox! All things aside I had my friend Jessica’s son Alex try out our Box4Blox unit so I could review it. It was simple, worked great and was visually pleasing as well! In fact, she asked to keep it, but I told her I’m going to hold tight to mine so that in a few years when we do have a little man who loves even the smallest Legos we have our solution readily available!
