Baileys Coffee Creamers Review & Giveaway (11/14)

by Marcie on October 21, 2011

One of my all time favorite after dinner and evening cocktails is coffee with a bit of Bailey’s Irish Creme inside. It’s the perfect nightcap for me and I always love the warmth that a bit of Bailey’s adds. Considering that Bailey’s Irish Creme has been around for over 30 years, I’m going to assume many people agree. The problem is I can’t enjoy that taste first thing in the morning before I get the kids off to school, until now. The wonderful makers of Bailey’s Irish Creme has introduced Bailey’s coffee creamers!

Bailey’s has designed nine delicious, non alcoholic, coffee creamers that will start off your morning with a sweet twist! From their Original Irish Creme flavor that started it all to more unique varieties such as Chocolate and Toffee Almond Creme, and also two fat free flavors. Bailey’s coffee creamers are also lactose and gluten free so those with common allergies can enjoy them too. With all of the choices available, Bailey’s is making sure that everyone can savor their coffee with the quality and satisfaction that Bailey’s is known for.

I had an opportunity to review two different Bailey’s coffee creamers. I was really looking forward to trying to Original Irish Creme since I’m a Bailey’s lover, but my grocery store didn’t have it. I instead picked up the Hazelnut and Creme Brulee flavors. Both were wonderful and although sweet, not overpowering. Since I don’t use them everyday, they are a perfect treat for me on mornings I feel like I need one (most mornings). The Bailey’s coffee creamer website also has a ton delicious recipes made with their creamers and some that compliment them perfectly. Since fall and Halloween is almost upon us, I’ve decided to include one I found delish below!

Pumpkin Bread with Creamy Frosting

Pumpkin Bread

  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup BAILEYS® Coffee Creamer Crème Brulée
  • 1 can (15 oz.) pumpkin
  • 6 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 3 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1/2 tablespoon baking powder

Creamy Frosting

  • 1 (8 oz.) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 box confectioners sugar
  • 4 ounces butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon BAILEYS® Coffee Creamer French Vanilla

*Preheat oven to 375°F. In a stand mixer, beat the eggs on high speed until foamy.
*Add sugar, oil, BAILEYS Coffee Creamer Crème Brulée, pumpkin, and spice, and mix well on low speed to avoid splashing.
*In a 4-quart mixing bowl, combine the rest of the dry ingredients (flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder) and mix together. Next slowly add the dry ingredients to the liquid pumpkin mixture and blend together on low speed, being sure to scrape down the sides to incorporate all the flour evenly.
*Spray two 8-inch loaf pans with nonstick baking spray. Pour half of the bread batter into each pan. Place in center of oven and bake for 35 to 45 minutes. The loaves should be golden brown. To test if loaves are done, insert a toothpick in the center of each loaf and remove it; it should come out clean. Remove loaves from oven and let cool. Once cool, remove bread from baking pans and place on a cooling rack.
*To make the frosting, combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and beat on high, using a hand or stand mixer. Mix until peaks begin to form and frosting is smooth.
*Using a spatula or frosting blade, spread frosting over top of pumpkin breads. Slice and enjoy.
Yield: Two 8-inch loaves
