Green Toys School Bus Review & Giveaway (11/23)

I love seeing my children happy! Sometimes that means them feeling accomplished from receiving a good grade on a test. Other times that means them getting a gift they’ve really wanted or been asking for. Whatever the reason their smiles make me smile. The cherry on my ice cream sundae is knowing that they’re not only happy, but safe. I will personally go out of my way to make sure my kids are kept out of harms way. However, there are so many safety hazards we don’t even think about, such as what are toys are made out of.

Green Toys Inc is a company that has taken classic toys and constructed them out of recycled plastic (mostly milk jugs) and other environmentally friendly materials which helps reduce fossil fuel use and greenhouse gas emissions. Each and every toy from Green Toys is tested by a third party lab and contain NO amount of BPA, PVC, phthalates or external coatings (usually made with lead paint) and every product from start to finish is made in California, right here in the USA! Even the Green Toys toy packaging is environmentally friendly since they are packaged in recycled corrugated boxes with no plastics, cellophane or twist-ties, and are 100% recyclable.

I really perusing through all of the simple yet adorable items that Green Toys sells. They have classic cookware and dish sets, cute fake food like the sandwich set shown above, dump trucks, jump ropes, tool sets and more. I know my children owned every single one of the toys available. Those main staple toys that parents always like to make sure their children grow up with, seem to be Green Toys’ specialty.

We were sent the Green Toys School Bus , a product coming soon, and it arrived to us very quickly. When I sat down to take it out of the box, there were no plastic zip or twist ties. It was simply open and out. That alone makes me want to hug the Green Toys team! I have to say that when I removed it from it’s recycled box, which is still a nicely designed package by the way, it immediately felt different then other toys. When I say different that is NOT a bad thing. It didn’t feel thin or cheaply made at all, just different then the regular plastic toys you’re used to touching. Durable yet eco friendly, the Green Toys School Bus will be tucked away and saved for my niece or nephew. This school bus or any of the Green Toys products make amazing and eco friendly holiday gifts! I certainly appreciate Green Toys’ products, mission, and constructing process. I’m sure if Mother Earth could speak, she would wholeheartedly agree!
