Carmex Skin Care Prize Pack Review & Giveaway (11/25)

Just a couple of months ago I was able to review my first ever package of Carmex products since becoming a part of the Carmex Blog Squad. As I mentioned in that first Carmex post, I’ve been a longtime Carmex fan and since falling in love with the Carmex Click Sticks, I’m even happier to be one of their selected bloggers to help spread my love of this wonderful brand. As the weather changes and the crisp chilly fall turns into a just plain cold winter my skin suffers. It becomes even drier than normal and since I live in the desert, that’s pretty darn dry.

Luckily, after focusing on strictly lip care since 1937, Carmex has introduced a skin care line that will help heal, hydrate and nourish our skin, especially during the dreaded winter season. The Carmex Healing Lotion is a light lotion, designed to protect skin daily with aloe and vitamin E. The Carmex Healing Cream is a non greasy, thicker cream that is specifically made with nine healing ingredients to help soothe and repair even the roughest parts that need some special TLC.

I was sent a wonderful gift pack of both full size and travel size tubes of the Healing Lotion and the Healing Cream to review. On the day my Carmex package arrived my little sister was over for a visit, so being the awesome sister that I am, I decided I would split the gift pack with her and allow all of you to have two reviewers instead of just one. Bonus!

I used the Healing Cream on my cracked heels in between pedicures. I loved the light fragrance and simply slathered some on and covered my feet with socks. It was wonderful and the best part was that it wasn’t greasy and oily but absorbed well into my dry feet. The Healing Lotion makes an excellent daily use lotion. Simply use a bit whenever and wherever you feel your skin could use a refresh and enjoy the instant hydration. Neither of the Carmex skin care products caused a reaction on my sensitive skin, so for those of you who, like myself, have that concern, you can rest assured you mostly likely won’t have a reaction. My little sister did not care for the smell of the products. However, she has never cared much for the smell of Carmex in general and her schnozz is extra sensitive these days, so I speculate that’s the reason why. She did mention that the two times she used the Healing Lotion her skin felt silky and soft. Overall, our Carmex skin care experience was definitely a good one and I was impressed by both of the products.
