Jamba Juice All Natural At Home Smoothies Review & Giveaway (12/14)

by Marcie on November 22, 2011

While it doesn’t happen too often, I really enjoy a good smoothie. Usually smoothies are the last thing on our minds when it’s snowing outside, but here in Las Vegas, although it’s chilly, I am still running errands in flip flops and let’s be honest, when isn’t it a good time for an all natural smoothie? Although braving the cold this winter just for an icy treat probably isn’t at the top of your list, how about if you were able to take everything you love about a Jamba Juice smoothie and make it in the comfort of your own home? Good news, you can!

Jamba Juice has created four different all natural at home smoothie “kits” that all contain luscious, real fruit, non fat yogurt and a boost of antioxidant vitamin C. With popular Jamba Juice smoothie flavors such as Strawberries Wild, Razzmatazz, Mango-a-go-go and Caribbean Passion each package makes two, eight ounce smoothies which contain one full serving of fruit and 100% daily value of vitamin C. Regardless of which flavor you love most they all contain no high fructose corn syrup, no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives and they are all fat free and under 120 calories or less when prepared as directed. Jamba Juice at home smoothies are also simple and easy to make by adding just one cup of apple juice and blending for 60 seconds!

We were sent a few packages of the Jamba Juice Caribbean Passion flavor, their newest variety, which offers a perfect tropical blend of mango, strawberries, peach and passion fruit. I decided it was a perfect treat for Maddie, Bub & I after a morning spent cleaning. They were excited and that afternoon we got to smoothing!

I was surprised to see real chunks of fruit when I opened the package and it smelled wonderful. Although the directions call for apple juice, I made this on a Saturday afternoon and my grocery trips happen Sunday morning, thus we were out of apple juice. I substituted for orange juice instead. Let me tell you, the smoothies were outstanding and tasted JUST as if we had walked into a Jamba Juice location and ordered one. The fact I used orange juice didn’t make it taste awkward either, so if you have to substitute, feel free. Maddie and Bub both drank every drop and I managed to snap a quick picture of mine before I totally sucked it down. What a wonderful alternative to going into an actual store and absolutely more cost efficient too!
