Sophia Pip Review & Giveaway (12/28)

I adore handcrafted jewelry! As I have mentioned, I’m building up quite the collection of simple yet special pieces that all hold a wonderful place close to my heart. I enjoy switching them up and appreciate that they not only work with day and evening outfits, but that they all represent a piece of me. Sophia Pip is an Etsy shop that understands exactly what it means to create beautiful quality pieces yet ones that will remain understated enough to wear on a day to day basis. This is my style exactly!

Based out of Key West, Florida Sophia Pip has just celebrated her third anniversary on Etsy! She chooses to focus on casual elegance by creating designs that are gorgeous yet not over the top. Using mostly sterling silver, copper, and brass as her base, and items like baroque pearls, vintage beads, and unusual gemstones as piece accents, Sophia has a motto of simplicity while using her obvious natural talent to create perfect sophisticated  jewelry!

I really enjoyed spending some time looking around the Sophia Pip Etsy shop. She does sub categorize her pieces under headings like Quiet Elegance and Flirty N Fun so you can narrow down exactly what would fit your style even easier. There is even a Sale category for your bargain hunters! I honestly found at least one item, usually more, in all eight categories that I would LOVE to own. Many items are customizable and there is something for men, women, and even children, because either of my daughters would adore those Tearose Studs shown above. In fact, so would I!! I chose to review the Mama Tags necklace from Sophia Pip. At first I was going to ask her to add another disc since this necklace comes standard with two oxidized discs each containing an initial, and I obviously have 3 kiddos. I then changed my mind and decided to use each disc to hold an 11, making it say 11/11, which, as my loyals know, it my anniversary! I was ecstatic at my own decision. I think chose to keep the 2 pearls standard white, however, Sophia gives you the option to mix and match them to either pale pink or baby blue at no additional cost.

Isn’t it gorgeous? The ball chain is strong enough to last yet still dainty enough to look girly. I LOVE the 11/11 discs. They’re so meaningful to me and I’m sure they will probably leave people who see them wondering what in the world that means. I actually like that fact though! The pearls are gorgeous and since I have two daughters with June birthdays and pearls are the other birthstone for pearls, it has a double meaning for me. I agree that Sophia Pip takes extra care to assure quality in every single one of her designs and it sure is apparent when you own any of her pieces!
