Journal 10+ Review & Giveaway (2/1)

by Marcie on January 10, 2012

I often sit back and think about life. Perhaps it’s silly to some of you but a big worry for me is not being able to see my children grow up. To be honest, it’s my biggest fear. After all, tomorrow is never guaranteed and for this reason I make sure I take a LOT of pictures, have little notes in small books for my children, and of course, document our life here on this site. I want them to know how much I love them, treasure them, adore them, and appreciate them.

Not too long ago I was contacted by a company called Because Time Flies and introduced to their product, Journal 10+. This is a revolutionary new spin on your ordinary journal. Allowing you to document up to 11 years of notes, entries, and memories all in one gorgeously bound, leatherette covered book. As soon as I took in exactly what Journal 10+ was, I knew I had to have one. What better way to remember your life, as well as one day share it with my children, than a single book with a million memories?

Some of the many reasons Journal 10+ is amazing

Duration: Journal 10+ holds up to 11 years of notes and memories in a single volume

Ease of Use: Just two minutes a day is all it takes to preserve your memories

Durability: Our Smythe-sewn binding & “leatherette” cover material are designed to last and look great for decades

Format: Looking back at prior year’s entries on any date triggers wonderful memories

Goals: Annual pages for setting goals and reviewing/noting progress toward objectives

Flexibility: With eleven years in our book, no matter when you start using Journal 10+, you have the remainder of that year, plus 10 full years ahead

Versatility: Journal 10+ can be used as a journal, planner, organizer, record keeper or in any combination of uses

Before I received my Journal 10+ I wasn’t exactly sure about the layout and setup of the book. Once it arrived, I was highly impressed. The journal itself is gorgeous and gender neutral, so it’s perfect for a man or woman, young or old. Journal 10+ gives you an amazing variety of options and ways to record your life. It of course has the Daily Page, where a page is divided into 11 sections, one for each year, with four lines for each individual daily entry (shown above). There’s also Carry Over Pages, where you can continue an entry if you have a lot to say that day, as well as a spot on each daily entry to mark where the carry over entry can be found! The Looking Ahead section is a place where you can jot down your goals, hopes, dreams, and wishes for the year ahead. Not to mention there’s added places for addresses, a Keeping Track section for medical information and auto issues, as well as a Special Dates area to jot down birthdays, anniversaries, and more.

It’s difficult for me to put into words how much I love my Journal 10+ after using it for just 9 days. It’s not overwhelming and jotting my daily entry takes two minutes. It’s obvious that with the high quality of Journal 10+ it will stand the test of time and all I can envision is my great grandchildren taking time to read my life, four little lines at a time. It is my memoir in the making!

I like that there are just a few lines to fill for each day. It’s much less intimidating than having a book full of blank pages and feeling like you need to write a lot each time you make an entry
