Friday 5: Storage

by Marcie on January 27, 2012

1. What are your favorite storage containers like? I really love those big storage totes with lids for storing everything. They rock!

2. What seems to require more time and energy to store than it’s worth? Nothing. I’m a cheap pack rat and although I’m organized, I’ll take time to store and save kids clothes for hand me downs, kids artwork and more.

3. What unusual container are you storing something in? We have a now infamous big red bowl that is used for storage on the bar counter. It’s a gorgeous bowl and it is red, so it goes with my decor perfectly. Still, it’s storage.

4. What packaged product has a container you really like? This is a tough one because I like a lot of brand packaging. Off the top of my head I think of the classics. Victoria’s Secret, Tiffany’s, and those rad honey jars shaped like the infamous bear.

5. If you suddenly had some new storage space in your home, what would likely go there? I’d love a bigger pantry more than anything. I’d also love one more closet and one more bookcase. Given those three wants, I’m sure it’s obvious what I’d do with more space!

I love reusing boxes for storage, and we use anything pretty much, like old wipes boxes for crayons!

I’m big on storing, and I use everything (to organize)…I’m also big on decluttering though, I like to throw things out, so it either gets tossed or organized.

I love storage boxes and bins. The prettier the better and they add so much to the decor sometimes.

I used to store everything but know I am a changed woman and love it. If we aren’t using it we get rid of it. My house is becoming a simpler less stressful home. I have been a de-cluttering fool this year and it has felt so empowering and “free”-ing to start chunking stuff. :-) my_2_cents at hotmail dot com

If I could add more room to my house I would definitely add more closet space the rooms are big enough but I want a closet as big as my room LOL.

I like the big tub for cat food and a handled plastic bottle for dishing it out.

I am pretty organized (okay, my daughter is two and has been organizing things for months!). I love peanut butter containers because they’re clear, (generally) unbreakable, just the right size to hold a bunch of stuff (buttons) and the kids CAN get them open.
