My Bucket List

This was originally made on August 5th, 2009 on my old Myspace blog. I transferred it here  and still hope to accomplish everything listed before I leave this earth.

1. See all 3 of my children become happy, successful, content adults – This is, and forever will be, my number one goal in life. I believe I was put on this earth to be a mother, and the day this is complete, I will know I did my job and could then die with a smile.

2. Go get our vows renewed at Voodoo donuts in Portland, Oregon
– Yes, we’re totally strange and it’s exactly what you think. We’ve had the whole traditional wedding, but ever since seeing this place on Food Network over a year ago, Eric and I have made it a must to go taste their crazy doughnut flavors and get our vows renewed at the same time. Check them out at www.voodoodoughnut.com

3. Own my own home before 30 years old – For as long as I can remember Ive wanted to become a home owner before the age of 30. Completed 12/2008 when I was 25 (5 years early!)

4. Visit Italy – Italy is the number one place Ive always wanted to see. There are many but Italy has always been in the top spot.

5. Go to Chicago and eat at Moto – I have never been to Chicago, which would be awesome all on it’s own, however, once I discovered Moto, I KNEW going there just for that place alone was a MUST! Moto is a restaurant where the menu is edible, the dishes are 5 star food, 10 or 20 courses, but with crazy themes such as “roadkill” where the sauce is splattered like blood, or the “cigarettes” where the food is rolled in rice paper that looks just like a cigarette. That equals awesomeness. www.motorestaurant.com

6. Visit Amsterdam – We all know I’m into the 420. What better spot to experience the joys of the herb than in Amsterdam? Eric has already been, however, we plan on going back sometime in this life so I can see this amazing country!

7. Hit and maintain my goal weight – In my own opinion being fat and unhealthy isn’t attractive or good for you. I want to hit the right middle weight for my height, have a normal BMI, and MAINTAIN it for life!! Completed 4/2009 after I lost 55lbs the right way (diet & exercise) and have been maintaining that exact weight ever since!!

8. Skydive – This is something I’ve always wanted to do. I am crossing my fingers that free falling out of an airplane is how I will celebrate my big 3-0 in a few years.

9. Visit Hawaii - I have heard its nice, yet expensive. Ive been told to go see Europe first, and wait on Hawaii. Despite all that, I still want to go and see the infamous pure water, white sand, etc.

10. Get all the current tattoos I have in my head – This might not sound like a big goal, but I have  a lot of art planned out in my head at this moment. I would estimate its equal to 5-6 huge pieces, and about another 15-20 smaller pieces. I hope to have every piece of art on my body just the way I want it, before I go. Heck, I hope that’s even possible!

11. Go to Cedar Point and Kings Island amusement parks, both in Ohio – Both of these amusement parks look freaking awesome, and they’re both in Ohio, so one day, Id like to plan a trip there to conquer them both :)

12. Drive a brand new car off the lot – I do drive a 2008 at the moment, and although it was paid in full, and I have owned  a lot of newer vehicles, I have never yet had the opportunity to drive a brand new car off the lot of a dealership being its first real owner. I hope to be able to accomplish this one day.

13. See my little sister get married and become a mother – Shes been there so much for me throughout my life, I want to be HER maid of honor, as she was for me, and become an auntie to her babies, just like she did for mine :)

14. Be a contestant on a game show – Ugh, Ive come pretty darn close to being in that Price Is Right audience a few years back, but some moron messed up that chance. Eric also always bugs me to go try out for Wheel Of Fortune because he swears I’m the best player on earth. Someday, I hope to be on a game show, any game show. Completed 9/2009 after sitting in the audience & getting to meet the host, Wayne Brady, for a taping of Lets Make A Deal! I STILL hope to be an actual contestant on a show one day!

15. Visit Seattle and Canada – I have to see Seattle’s music, art, and coffee scene, and have always wanted to peep out Canada too. They’re both so close to each other, I might as well do both at the same time and just ride the ferry.

16. Visit Bob Marley’s hometown and house – I have a bit of a Bob Marley obsession. In fact, I would probably be a rasta if I weren’t so materialistic and white HA! It is one of my goals to visit Ocho Rios Jamaica, his hometown and see it the same way he saw it. Completed 3/31/11 and was one of the most soul cleansing, amazing experiences of my life! The rastas were warm, welcoming, and full of positive energy!

17. See a Dallas Cowboys game in Arlington, TX – I would do anything to see my boys play at home in their stadium, and someday, I will. Completed 10/25/10 when I attended my first ever pro sporting event, my Cowboys, at home in Dallas! It was breathtaking and amazing to say the least. I hope to go back someday!

 That’s it so far.

I’m sure Ill get to add more things to this list if I’m lucky enough to keep breathing. I’m also sure if I’m that lucky, Ill get to cross many of these things off. :)
